because of the children’s guardian. Essentially, a guardianship is an
institution created and administered by the court, making the
guardian a court-appointee. However, when you name someone to be a
guardian in your will, you make it difficult for someone else to be
appointed. If you don’t name a guardian, a judge will decide who will
raise and nurture your children. Most likely, this judge does not
know your family, nor does the judge really have the capability to
know if any of your extended family members can properly raise your
child.

It is impossible to stress how important it is for parents who die
early to find the right people for the guardianship job. They will be
responsible for the upbringing of your children. You should
definitely consider things like parenting skills, values, physical
environment (apartment/farm), and religion.

Two important questions to ask (and the answers):

1. What if the best person to bring up your child physically is not
the best manager of money? While you are planning your will and your
children’s guardian, you can also plan to separate the functions of
guardianship. To do so, you first write your will appointing a
“guardian of the person” who will care for your children physically.
Then, also in your will, you name the person whom you appoint to be
the “guardian of the estate”. This person’s job is to dole out the
resources so that your children are not a burden on the person or
family taking care of them.

2. What if the guardian you select is over flowing with love and
values, but scrape the bottom of the barrel each month to feed their
own children? Everyone knows that you do certainly do not intend to
add your children to theirs and cause them undue hardship. This
leaves only one real solution.

Provide adequate financial resources for the guardian to properly
care for your children. At the least, you should provide enough cash
resources to feed and cloth your children each month until they
complete high-school. Many parents also make an effort to provide the
resources for their children to be able to go to college.

Most likely your own asset chart is a little short for providing the
amount of cash your children will need or you want to provide after

In a study on the development of humankind, it was stated that many versions of humans started out, but due to a variety of reasons, they didn’t survive and became extinct. The last two types stated to survive were the Neanderthals and the Homo sapiens. There has been much debate as to whether they were two subsets of one species or two distinct species.

The one thing agreed upon was that other than the difference in the brow bone and chin that the two were more similar than any other versions and that they both had a larger brain than the previous. They could tell that the Neanderthals could think out problems, as they had created tools and buried their dead. Therefore, they couldn’t understand why they became extinct.

A scientist recently discovered one difference between the two. He noticed that when he turned the skull upside down and looked at the base of the brain area that the Neanderthals had a flat base, where as Homo sapiens have a bulge downward.

This effects where are larynx is located. The Neanderthal’s would be higher up and unable to make many of the sounds that Homo sapiens do. They wouldn’t be able to make the vowel sounds. In other words, they weren’t able to communicate and connect with others on a higher level in the same manner as Homo sapiens. It is believed that this inability to communicate as well is what eventually lead to their extinction.

The conclusion was that intelligence on its own, is not a guarantee to be able to succeed in life. Your ability to communicate well, and connect with others will enable you to survive and excel business and life. All the knowledge in the world won’t help if you can’t releate or explain any of it to others.

However, our communication abilities don’t end there. Much of our primary motor cortex in out brain is related to communication. In other words, a big chuck of our higher advanced brain in the motor cortex, was designed to enable us to communicate more efficiently. This relates to our hands, face tongue and larynx.

When we communicate, our message that we give has more meaning than just the words. Our message is sent in part by body language, tone and emphasis.

Body language includes, use of our hands and facial expressions as well as our stance and posturing. Our tongue and larynx give tone, pitch and emphasis. It is these fine details that has enabled us to more clearly define our motives, beliefs, understanding, intentions and desires that we want. It has enabled us to advance in ways that we would never have been able to without our ability to communicate our thoughts, feeling and ideas.

If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a dozen times: “Make homemade cinnamon rolls? From scratch? Are you crazy? That takes all day!”

Actually, it depends upon the recipe.

I have several recipes for homemade cinnamon rolls that do, indeed, take at least all afternoon, if not all day — scald the milk and let it cool to room temperature (30 minutes); mix the dough and let it raise for an hour (1.5 hours); punch down the dough and let it raise for another hour (1 hour); shape into cinnamon rolls and let raise for another hour (1.5 hours); and then, finally, bake the cinnamon rolls (30 minutes) — for a grand total of 5 hours from start to finish.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. You really can make homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch in two hours or less.

Here’s my recipe: 2 cups of warm water 1/2 cup sugar 4 teaspoons dry yeast (or two packages of dry yeast) 2 eggs 1 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup Canola oil (I use Canola, but you can use any kind of cooking oil) (you can also use shortening, if you prefer) 6 to 7 cups of flour

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Let sit for a minute or two. Add the sugar and salt. Mix. Add the cooking oil (or shortening), 2 eggs, 2 cups of flour and beat until smooth.

Stir in 3 more cups of flour. Begin kneading the dough, adding the final cup of flour. If the dough seems too sticky, knead in more flour, a quarter to a half cup at a time.

Let the dough “rest” for 15 to 20 minutes. (I leave it sitting on the counter and use the time to wash up the bowl and other utensils and to clean off the counter top.)

Roll the dough into a rectangle that’s 24 to 30 inches long by about 16 inches wide. Spread with soft butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Starting at the wide end, roll into a log.

Cut the cinnamon rolls into equal sized slices (approximately one inch wide each or slightly more) and place into two greased 9×13 pans. Put in a warm place to rise for 45 minutes.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes (or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown).

Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then turn out of the pans.

This recipes makes two dozen cinnamon rolls. If you want REALLY BIG cinnamon rolls, cut into 12 equal pieces 2 inches wide.

Total amount of time needed from start to finish (including time to bake) is about 2 hours.
